Ok, a quick tour of the castle fort. The landscape and such is bare but a normal map is applied on the walls. Ah, I did animate a flag though...

Well, it's kinda small in size, so it a outpost castle fort, maybe 10 soldiers... The garrison's md3 file after conversion with the game's smoothing routine on models makes it not very usefull in game. kinda ugly but sure is fun to be able to export and then get color,texture and some concept ideas ...

Good game there, Now, I know how to add custom art assets but to make a game, a big fat "0" in that department. Well off to learning and busting my brains...

Sorry mate, I forgot to mention how...siimvuss wrote:how did you do that?
Go to edit mode and at the command prompt type:
writeobj plus type a file name for the obj file.
The file will be saved in your Sandbox folder.

I found you could save your map to a obj file. It could be used for testing color schemes etc. nice...

Google video compression codecs to get an understanding how each one works (their strengths and weak areas) on compressing your video. That will help you understand what video ...

Nice normal maps
I made this model several months ago with 2048 normal and displacement maps. I reduced the maps to 512 x 512.
Then took the displacement map and put it in the alpha channel of the normal map. I was impressed how well PlatinumArts Sandbox engine render the 512 x 512 image normal map...
