So another update... Looks like when I press my chosen key, END, the cursor freezes. I can't look up and down to select more surfaces while holding END. I can (inconsistently) sort of click END and drag my finger (touchpad - on a laptop) and about 3 or 4 times out of 10 I can get two vertices select...

That make sense :D I did get Sandbox to import a Cube 2 map, and like you said, the textures are messed up. A question here... I will check the commands listing, but off the top of your head is there a way to set paths so Sandbox sees the Cube 2/Packages directory, and Cube 2 sees the Sandbox direct...

I have tried the exportocta command in Cube 2 and the importcube command in Sandbox. Neither command works for some reason, I get, "Unknown command" for both. Also for some reason those who did this change didn't bother to update any of the editing references or posts listing the commands....
