new grass strands: yay or nay?

I have been experimenting with some new animated grass strands and here is what I've come up with:

-with veg065.jpg as ground

-with default grass texture as ground

Yay or Nay?

OOOOooOoooo Very Nice! Great work Daniel_san! I say use the default texture as ground, it looks more real.

I thought the default looked better too.

Here's another rendition. Made the tips of the blades wider.
Now it doesn't have that overly blue-ish tint to it.
At least it's not as pronounced.

Very nice!, why does the grass have to be green? why not make some different colors?, maybe some body wanted to make a alien world with blue grass?

some nice Fall colors would be cool, like the yellows and reddish browns~

Looks very nice, I like the default ground too. It's much more earthy and realistic. Nice work.
