Re: CO-OP builds (w/pics)
There's currently no master server to tell your computer what servers are on. To get multiplayer to work, a server has to be running (just click the server.bat file in the sandbox directory) but a server won't do any good if something like a router is preventing it from having transfers with other players. I'm not sure what the ports are needed, but for a server to get through a router, ports have to be forwarded so the router knows where the information needs to go. To make all ported information go to a single computer, you can set the router's DMZ to your computer's designated IP. Do some research on your particular router manufacturer to learn how. A good site is to check is www.portforward.com

By that do you mean just the cmd.exe popping up and doing onthing else?
Thanks

Re: CO-OP builds (w/pics)
Yeah, seemingly it does nothing. I suppose I could make a Tutorial with Pictures but I'm pretty sure the wiki explains it pretty well
Re: CO-OP builds (w/pics)
Yeah, it's more convenient as all the needed files are in one archive.Hirato wrote:would you rather sandbox output uncompressed maps damian?
the engine compresses them upon save with gzip
but you still have a point, it's more convenient for his to upload all his files inside an archive, than like this
It's also safer for the server, as tarballs and ZIP/RAR archives aren't directly executable on the server.

Re: CO-OP builds (w/pics)
I got my IP address and I understand it mostly but I dont understand how it says if I use a router I might have to forward 28785 and 28786.
(note) I do use a router.
Thanks

Re: CO-OP builds (w/pics)
Like I said, www.portforward.com has a lot of information on just about all router makes, it should tell you have to forward the ports that the wiki gave you
