Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

Over the weeks ive been creating apps to make using sandbox easier. In this forum i would like you to comment on the apps that you have that were created by me.

Heres a list of My apps and Modules:

• 1) Sandbox Recorder
  2) Quick Chat
  3) Easy Calclight
  4) Autosave

Theres more on the way, these are just the few that are complete.

Also, if you think anything could be added or fixed on these apps/modules please state what it is and ill check to see if its possible.

We should get a team together so finish Waterwars, so we can enjoy "Quick Chat"

1) Sandbox Recorder - Really useful id say this is your best one yet.

2) Quick Chat -Like i said we should get a team together to make Waterwars, this script really serves no purpose.

3) Easy Calclight - Its quick, clean and effective i really like it.

4) Autosave - I really haven't had a chance to test this out, but to my knowledge it saves once you exit Sandbox right?, are does it save after a period of time?. If yes to the last question this script might be devious at times, what if you made a big mistake and the Autosave took effect before you could change it?.

The autosave script saves the map after a set period of time, it saves every change you make. If you make a mistake and it saves before you can change it, theres no problem, press Ctrl+Z to undo that mistake and resume editing the map. The autosave will save the map with the undo completed, meaning, no matter how many times it saves, you can undo everything.

some things can't be undone.

I would like save when exited.

what excactly does sandbox recorder do? I believe that it was already implemented in 2.5...
Also, if you want to make a team to make the waterwars work then im in. Tho that definetly needs masterserver so sb should contact mike.

Actually, at some point I really thought sandbox was going somewhere. There was waterwars concept, banana relay concept, vlc support was going to be implemented, but then suddenly mike disappeared, also it seems like hirato disappeared too, also vickie, who made really cool things with sandbox became unactive etc. It seems like sandbox is dieing.

Hey Mike if youre still "alive" then reply this post and tell us why have you been so unactive.

The sandbox Recorder 1.0 allows you to record everything you see on your screen in sandbox, it also allows you to change the resolution, name the movie, Set effects (eg Rotoscope), Disable/enable sound recording and also enable/disable Hud. Once the movie is saved where your screenshot usually are as what you called it.

As for waterwars, Ill set up a team, once waterwars is sorted, We can impliment weaponry into the fps mode along with the ability to easily set your own weapons and effects.

Hirato is usually available on the IRC, as for Mike, i have no idea what happened to him.

the term you're looking for is "inactive"...and I doubt Mike will look in this topic for posts asking him why he's been so inactive, do you?

Sandbox isn't dying, it's just hit spring term. People are busy earning a living again after overspending during Christmas.

Keep in mind that Mike is a very busy guy taking care of kids and i believe he teaches at a college. I see him post from time to time. As Venima said its just that month which every one is really busy, I'm sure every one is going to be very active sooner are latter.
