city map WIP for parkour/chase game

I got the latest svn and started working on a city map.
I'm hoping to make a parkour/chase game with many paths to everywhere using fire escapes, building hallways and maybe even a sewer system or subway.
I"d love to figure out a way to make moving traffic and have ever increasing numbers of people chasing the player, but don't hold yer breath for that.

The map will probably have mature elements ( strip club and gyrating semi-naked girls ala Duke Nukem 3D )
I hope to make a 'door' in the shape of a bouncer that won't let anyone in unless given the secret password to keep those places off limits to non-mature folk.

I'll probably just keep adding to it until it won't run on my old NVidia FX1100 card anymore. ( ancient tech )

This seems interesting, why does it remind me of Mirrors Edge? :D

We should be able to do moving traffic without too much trouble using moviecube. Different actors can have different paths that loop so the cars could even each have their unique paths, such as pulling over to pick someone up, etc. More adding in to the chase could just be npcs guarding an area and when you pass by they jump in the chase too. Sounds like racemode really needs to happen :D Take care and nice to hear you! I hope all is well and say hi to Nekkia for me please :D

hi,

this map looks great. seems that we should add vehicles from kart mod.
Could be work like this: vehicles can be controled by players or script.
Vehicles models has tags (sit0, sit1, ..., sitn). Players can be attached to vehicles.
The player attached to tag "sit0" is able control the vehicle. I think we can use parts of the kart mod
for this.

i'm a big fan of parkour and think that this is a really good idea... but is the point of the game just to run around w/ people chasing you, or would there be a story line like ME?

I don't haz a story line, I'm making a random castle while trying to think of the group storyline that we can make together

just out of curiosity, are those mapmodels on top of your buildings? or something you made w/ cubes?
