RPG not finding my .cfg files?

Ok I just got PAS today and have been playing around with it, it is great!!!
I want to make an rjg but i made the first part of my game as a fps by mistake

so i changed it to an rpg.
Now though the npc's still talk but when I press F6 and press load I cant find any of the scripts. also if i edit the .cfg file that the scripts in none of the changes work?
Is the .cfg file in the wrong place?
Do I have to start again? (hopefully not)

If I havnt explained it good enough then sorry, and ill try again

Edit: I am useing version 2.5 with windows XP..i think. if that helps at all.
Double Edit:

The npc's are all ogre's there not the rpg ogres there the other ones, not sure if this makes a difference but oh well

If you're following the RPG tutorial on the wiki, then you're doing a lot of things wrong. 2.5 didn't have a very good RPG system, while 2.7.1 does (the wiki tutorial was made for 2.7.1). As for the FPS and RPG map thing, if you used FPS scripting, then the npcs may not work in RPG mode.

So do you think I should download 2.7.1?
If I do will I have to start again?
Also Will it take another hour like last time to download?
Yes I did use fps scripting. Should I just start another file and use the rpg scripting then?

EDIT: Ok I have now got version 2.7.1

So I just need to start all over again and use the rpg scripting.

EDIT2: please help. I can make the scripts for the npc's but in the game nothing happens. heres what i did:
Opened up notepad,
copyed the scripts to make an npc talk from a guide somewhere.
changed it so that the npc's say what i want them to say.
saved the file as (name of my map).cfg
opened my map,
changed the npc's level tigers to correspond with the scripts.
pressed F6
pressed, load.
Pressed execute,
And nothing happens??? what did i do wrong?

again, RPG scripting is way different from FPS scripting. I'd read here for RPG scripting: http://www.sandboxgamemaker.com/wiki/in ... G_tutorial
