Re: Some Questions
Thanks, that really cleared things up
Anyway, since I'll be using FPS mode, I have some new questions.
Whats the difference between FPS and RPG?
Is it possible to add spells into FPS, like RPG?
What about "weapons"? I just wanted to shoot some particle effects when you click the mouse (kinda like the fireball in rpg)

Re: Some Questions
RPG already has spells, health and things like that coded into it. FPS doesn't.Firelight wrote:Whats the difference between FPS and RPG?
You'd have to code that.Firelight wrote:What about "weapons"? I just wanted to shoot some particle effects when you click the mouse (kinda like the fireball in rpg)
I believe so but, again, it would require coding.Firelight wrote:Is it possible to add spells into FPS, like RPG?
As for textures, I don't know.

Re: Some Questions
Blending textures isnt a strong point of mine, but i share an ability to create some radical maps and codes, although I keep all my codes as Apps and useful scripts to make map building easier, such as the Easy Calclight Module and the Autosave script, I have created one specifically for Movie Cube, Sandbox Recorder, and one for use in an fps, Quick Chat, If youre wanting to create an FPS youre welcome to join Project: Regen as were looking for skilled mappers, coders, modellers, sound artists and concept artists, if youre interested in joining sign up to the forum thats linked in my signiature. So far, our progress is mainly in sounds and music, along with a few codes, map ideas, Character plans and Storyline. We have no specified date of release but we need 2.6 before we can start, unless one of us manages to successfully mod sandbox into Cube 2 FPS style.

Re: Some Questions
I don't know what you exactly mean about blending textures, but I have 2 ideas:
1. Select a texture with a 2nd texture in a corner. Apply the texture, then hit P and apply the second texture.
2. Search through the forums. I think Gr1m had a tutorial about something like this.
