SSP NPC's

Hello all,

Me and a friend are trying to make an SSP map and would like to know if it is possible to add talking NPC's? We've tried using the same method as FPS, but to no avail. We understand that RPG has a different way of scripting this, so maybe the code is different for SSP aswell?

There really isn't a lot of documentation that will help you with coding, so I'd recommend looking in/at/under/around the SSP files (all .txt .cfg etc). That would probably be best.

The last time I tried to add an NPC in SSP mode, it didn't work. But that was with 2.5. It might work with 2.6.1.

Yes, I know this, but it doesn't work in SSP.

Well, I'll just start playing with the extra stuff in RPG and getting used to it's script. Hopefully SSP gets some scripting support sometime :cry:

yeah, Sandbox is still in it's baby stage, not really much of a competitor compared to Unity or UDK.

Erm, im pretty sure its more then a baby, more like pre-schooler

Okay... Heres the line-up:
2.5: Not much work going on other than the newly developed RPG mode.
2.6: Again, not much going on, other than it's newly enhanced RPG mode and KRS mode.
2.6.1: This one has a slightly more stable release, KRS works properly and RPG has a few fixes here and there. Not much going on with other modes though.

SSP May have an update in a later release. Dont be expecting much though.

@PizzaLover101 + CP: I think its in it's Terrible Teens...
