It starts to launch and then closes.

I have looked through the FAQ's and the solutions there didn't work. I use Windows Vista. The drivers are updated. I tried the most recent version and 2.5 with the same results.

Turn off the shaders, for whatever reason, shaders hate windows 7 and vista

Are you using the CLICK_ME_TO_START.bat launcher, or the Sandbox launcher? I'd try the launcher.

What version are you currently using? 2.5 was the main issue, although 2.6 and 2.6.1 have overcome this issue.

My computer does the same thing this guy is saying but it does it with all the versions no matter what I do! I have Windows Vista 32 bit and the latest version of PAS (2.6) please help this is really frustrating!

You may wanna try 2.6.1, and Vista is terrible for compatability. Other than trying to use the multiplatform version, I dont know what you could do to fix it.

Try turning off the shaders if you can not even open the game go into my_Stuff then config_FPS.cfg and go down to shaderdetail 3 then change the 3 to 0 and try sandbox again.

Also for problems like this please tell us your computer specs if the above does not work.
