Changing default texture

Hello,

While experimenting with Sandbox 2.6 (It's AWESOME) I found annoying fact that new created faces acquire default grass texture. Is there a way to change default texture into another, so if I am modelling some complex structure made of "bricks", I will not be needed to re-texture a bunch of "grass" faces?

Thank you.

Yes, but it would be inefficient in the long run. Changing it so that a complex structure was brick, would mean that any other structure that you didn't want to be brick would still have to be retextured. In the long run then, it's much more efficient to use the default grass texture and re-texture everything yourself.

So currently it is not possible? Well, I can get use to it I guess.

Speaking about long runs, if there would be "default brush texture" (selectable in texture menu, let's say, with right mouse button) feature you could:

1. Select "Brick" texture.
2. Extrude walls, make rooms and steps.
3. Select "Wood" texture.
4. Model roof.
5. ...

It could save a lot of time, as "second pass" is not needed any more.

I see what you mean, that would be a good idea, if it was implemented correctly.
