Help Starting PAS.2.6.1 :D

Hey, I downloaded the game maker,and I was very happy, and I was SO excited to play it, but then I started it up on these settings

Resolution: 1074x768 Saders: Off (I'm a vista, and I don't like lag

) Vsync: Off (I didn't know what it did so I just left it off.)

And I pressed Launch, and it went black, then showed my desk top again, and I was like "WTF!!!! -.-" and then I realized, "Oh, it's 'Not Responding' I guess I'll just re-try it" and I kept retrying and it keeps "Not responding" I'm not a "Tech" Kinda' guy, and I don't know alot about computer, so if you know a solution, dumb it down for me

NOTE: Vista User, Updated Drivers, Tried the tutorials, Tried both launchers.

Try just starting up with the .bat files themselves, as people seem to have problems with the launcher.
