Im trying to make a zombie based game (as does 50% of the folks on here, zombies, love em or hate em, they're coming!)

I got the rosestorm game (nice work) and thought, Ill copy the files for the zombies to at least have some in that work, whilst my friend uses bledner to make the specific types I need.

Im doing the game in FPS, SP and cannto sus out where you add the zombie scruipts or how you tell the cfg file for each map to look for the script, faction models etc.

actually, on a reletd note I cant work out how to change the model that is me. IN context, at one point in my game you approach an oil rig. On one map I woudl need you to look liek a boat with peopl eon (I have a blender model-ish for this) and then once you arrive at teh landing dock a copy of the map loads in but now you are a chap. Can it be made so each map has a specofic model for the main character.

in FPS

Cheers

Whoa, that's kinda hard to read... I can try to answer your last question: can it be made so each map has a specific model for the main character?

I think you could, you'd have to edit a configuration file to do it, likely each map's configuration file, using the playermodel code.

well it depends if every level is a different map and not just one giant map than yes if it is individual maps then just add the model to the files by following the wiki directions here and then press 0(zero) repeatedly until you have your model as character. ps are you using weapons if so can you post it in the tutiorials & resorces section of the forum? please

I'm not using weapons, but if that's what you want, you should look at Cube 2: sauerbraten.

Playermodel editing is possible, but that requires a source code edit.

You can always save the map under different names and change the character for each
