So hopefully I will soon have a video game making club that will be using this soft wear, so saying I would like to ask anyone who often helps with sandbox questions to please keep an eye out for my posts as I have no doubt that I will need a lot of help... and actually I do have a couple of questions right now:
1) can anyone point me in the direction of a good, all around character creator? one that does not necissaraly deal in all humans?
2)is it possible to make a "design your own character" screen at the beging of a game?
3)can you link maps together? like when you get to certain place you enter a new map? and if so how?
4)can you do cut sceens with sandox, like what you would see with legend of zelda? and if so how?

i think thats all i need for right now... if i think of any others or someone else asks me any I will be sure to ask here. please respond as soon as posible.

1) A character creator? As in 3D modeler? There are many, and all that you would need to do is Google it. On the off chance that you don't, here are some good ideas (which will still require googling): Blender, Sculptris, GoogleSketchup. Please note that the last one isn't quite for organic assets, but still quite usable.

2) A "design screen" would require a massive overhaul of the menu system in general if you wanted it to work properly. There are many ways to fudge a design screen, but none that would actually work without some editing of the source code(from my understanding).

3) It is very possible to link maps. I'd search the forum using the search on the top right of the forum (that's what it's there for).

4) Cutscenes are now possible thanks to Hirato's work in RPG mode ONLY.

That should answer you questions for now.

hey I have another question: Can you put a video, not a cut sceen but an already made video clip, into like the middle of a cut sceen, or would you have to recreat the clip withe the cut sceen? Thank you so much for your help!

You would most likely have to recreate the clip, although you could possibly create a "tv" that has the video clip on it (take a look at tutorial-texanim in the Sandbox maps).

Although that is an interesting idea it's not eactly what I was going for, but thank you... may I ask what 3D modler you use?... and if so: What 3D modler do you use?

I'm not much of a 3D modeler, but most people around here use several different things. I've heard Sculptris, Milkshape, Blender, Wings 3D and several others are pretty good, so it's really a matter of finding one that works for you ;D

For themes and logos I use GIMP though, it's really nice.
