Is it possible to make a elevator with some cubes? I know how to make a elevator and i can switch the models for it - but i dont like to use one of the models as elevator.. i would like to make an elevator out from 4 or more cubes with the default texture? I have tried writeobj and mmodel - searched a long time ago and tested very much functions.. but i dont think i will suceed..
Is it possible to do that what i'm trying?
Do i have to download MORE MODELS, or can i make my own with sauerbraten/PAS/cube2/Sandbox? (Just for a simple elevator?)
Sorry for my bad english!
Thanks for your support!

AS far as I know, you cannot make an elevator or platform out of regular cubes, but as for the model part... that would actually be a good suggestion for a new feature. To be able to export a map model made from selected level geometry. One problem, as far as I'm aware, is that a model may only have one skin, so all the textures would have to be made into a skin, or the segments of the model textured differently would have to be a separate meshes within the one model.

writeobj exports ALL the GEOMETRY as a .obj file
nothing else, such as materials, colours, textures, normals, etc are exported

So he could in theory make a mega small map and delete every single thing out of his map except for the cubes he wants as the elevator. Though I think it would be easier to just make the elevator in blender because even I can do a rectangle

Then you just assign the default texture as the skin. We have info in our help section/wiki on how to import models to sandbox from blender. Take care.
