wierd problem
wierd problem
Well i was looking around a map already in the game, and i accidentaly moved a block and it messed up the textures, they all are really light and stuff now, i can't really explain it and also im not able to get a screenshot of it(not working for some reason). I can't really explain what it looks like, but its much ligher than usual and the textures dont really HAVE a texture any more, its more like a plain wall with colors on it now. Can someone please help me, this is really, really annoying.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: wierd problem
um.. reload the map?
it's not as though the chances are permanent unless you saved

Re: wierd problem
This happens to all maps when they're not in my_stuff, packages, just don't try to change anything or just copy it to there
Re: wierd problem
f3/quick light.
Calculating shadows takes time. Change something and a lot of textures lose their shadow. quick light fixes that.
Also in console (another hidden magic): /fullbright 1
That turns shadows off, boring but consistent lighting while editing. "/fullbright 0" to get shadows back.
Would be nice to have that in the menues btw (or did i miss it?).

Re: wierd problem
ok Thanks guys ill try it out and hirato, ive tried loads and loads of times reloading, it never changes + its does this with all the maps now =\ i guess ill try guguests and see if works
EDIT: ok so i tried what you said guguest, and that doens't change anything =\.
and when i also checked my_stuff/packages and there isn't anything in that folder except two folders(base and mymusic), i dont know if you meant if the map isn't in the base folder(all my custom maps saved are in there) or just the my_stuff/packages. did you?

Re: wierd problem
copy it in packages, base, and copy the map you want and his art,
Than go to my_stuff, packages, base, and paste it there

Re: wierd problem
delete the undesired instances in my_stuff/packages/base

Re: wierd problem
it didn't have the map files in packages/base, but it does in my_stuff/packages/base. I tried copying from my_stuff/packagse/base to packages/base and it still doesn't change anything
