Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

Hi,

Myself a two other friends recently founded a small indie game development company titled Redemption Studios. Our companies goal is to make innovative Christian games that will give the player more than just a waste of a few hours of gameplay! We love games and want to make great ones! We are very interested in Sandbox and Cube 2. We would just like to extend a big hello and hope to see everyone on the forums a lot! Have a good one!

Your correct. It actually is very weird, but that doesn't mean it isn't any fun. We at Redemption have no means of creating a game that just morality. A game should be fun. The Bible is very fun! So why not put them together.

May I ask what type of game you'll be making with this engine?

We have a big interest in adventure games. Not really RPG, but games that are heavy story driven. There are thousands of great stories in the Bible and we where thinking about taking advantage of that and crafting an adventure game out of that. You see, instead of making the player decide what is right and wrong or learn Bible passages (as Christians that is important), we want to create a world with an enveloping Biblical story. A story we can plop the player in the middle of and he/she has get to the bottom of it. We've had quite a few ideas, but are still in the planning stage. Sandbox was very interesting because it gives us the ability to build a game quite faster than most other 3D game development platforms. It focuses more on design and world development than variables in programming.
