Salutations

Hello and say hi to DVD Player. I'm not new to the game-making program biz, last program I worked with was Game Maker, but I got a bit pissed off at the sprite animating so I stopped working on a top-down space fighter-jet game. It wasn't anything special.

Once I saw this, I felt I had a good knowledge of how coding works (not that I've actually coded, I just know how it works :P) and started this up. The mapping is really simple, I learned most of the functions within an hour or two, and am working on the first level of a game I hope to have finished in the far future that's kinda like Lengend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time combined with steam-punkery and the relative game-functions of Mario 64.

You will see me in the help section frequently about Height Map, I find it difficult to make box-canyons with unclimbable mountains as the boundaries when the slopes tend to replace eachother or screw up the geometry when it comes to corners. Very frustrating.

Welcome to the forums! You can select an area and then heightmap will be confined into that selection, if you are looking for a more precision. Hopefully your heightmap woes are a thing of the past. Take care!
