I have finished the map.
I wish I had more time, but I think it looks good.
This map was made in 2.7
I have about 2 shader textures, so it looks nice with shader's enabled.
Tell me what you think.

Packaging: I've more or less told you all these was to say on IRC, but just in case you forget, those points were
1) the zip should mimic the structure of the game directories; people will screw up if they have to copy/move multiple things
2) no not include temporary files, this includes the .svn directories (use an svn export) or things like Thumbs.db files for windows - in your case this easily accounts for 15MB of the download
3) avoid uppercase characters unless you enter the paths to work whilst case sensitive
so remember to rename your mapshot's externsion to png from PNG and several of the bundled textures from .JPG to .jpg - annoying I know, but having things not load is more so
4) the mapshot should be a power of 2 image no larger than 256x256 (there no point going higher)
There probably another point or two I forgot

The Map
1. the outside lighting looks good, but there is no visible source, Please add a source and use /sunlight to cast these shadows (captain ahab made a topic on these variables, look it up)
2. the inside lighting could use some work, I'd mainly give the sources a bit of glow but overall the aesthetics are pleasant
3. (minor) to the bottom left of the entrance there's a hole in the frame; please close that up :P
4. I got stuck near the top of the stairs and fell after I managed to ascend it. I'd suggest making the hole a bit better and rotating the stairs 90 degrees anti-clockwise
5. with the exception of the red floor, The textures you used look good and work very well together

Architecturally and geometrically speaking, your map is absolutely gorgeous, apart from the minor ones above, I can't even find a single fault.
Even if you don't win the competition, I'd very much like it if you could develop the map a bit further (give the RPG's abilities a run and whatnot), I'd very much like to include it.

Updated it to Hirato's standards, http://www.sendspace.com/file/olluoi

Thanks lzr
Its supposed to be dark, but the ambient light makes it easier to see. :D

Cheers,
Matthew

Is there a separate contest for RPG mode. Or are the FPS and RPG contests combined?. I personally think that they should be separate because you can do alot more in rpg than fps.

Jsoft, it is combined, this is a mapping contest so RPG and FPS are equal.

I vote we disqualify KM. In this sense, I believe he's already won what's pretty much our top honor. Kudos to you, KM. Good job. Three cheers. whatever you want! a party! a day at the beach!

Agreed. There should be separate contests for the pros and the n00bs.
