Ideas For The SB Community - Social Site, Video Blog, More?

A lot of what I'm working right now is the profile layout and where things are. It is relatively easy to change things and move them around, I put "post to wall" and "wall" at the top in the right column now whereas default was at the bottom haha.

One thing I wasn't sure about when joining was the "heading" thing... is that like a title, such as "sir" or something, or like a newspaper headline? I didn't understand nor like it.

Oh, and BTW: can you make a link at the top of the forum pages, next to either newsletter or wiki? Would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean those tabs at the top? I still have to add all the menu items but yes that is certainly on the todo list
PS now you should be able to connect via facebook too

Yes, I mean the tabs, the ones on the bar below the giant PHPBB forum heading image with our logo. "index, sandbox home, newsletter, FAQ, Wiki, Bug tracker, gallery, board rules". That one.

I don't have a Facebook account, but I'm pretty sure some people here do.

Mike, I'm impressed! Actually, I'm blown away! That's a fabulous start and I think it'll definitely help the Sandbox community!

Would customization for individual profiles be an option? aka Colors/backgrounds?

For the community site, I just realized that quite a few of us here have Youtube accounts and other such things, would there be any possibility of linking to those in a similar way wordpress does? I know I have a blog as well. I do realize that we have blogs and can upload videos, but what about linking to videos already posted at Youtube?

Acrones you should be already able to, I did enable the option though I haven't tried it yet.

Chocolate, in the add videos option you can paste the embed code for the youtube video. If you notice the video I added it is from youtube

EDIT: Do we really need an "account" tab, and a "profile" tab? I sort of see that there's a bit of a difference to it (behind the scenes vs. public info), but is it truly necessary?
