Platinum Arts Sandbox - Free 3D Game Maker Forum

i know this may have been asked these questions a few times before but i have looked in most topics and not really come up with one answer i understand

1) if i created a game with this product would i be able to upload it and run it from a web server i currently rent in the US ? (i am in the UK)

2) would the game be installed into a webpage like a .swf file ? or would it have to be installed onto a game server like modern games are with its own console program to run it ?

i have loads of other questions but i think i will wait to ask anymore

i am going to download the program and have a play with it anyway and see what it can do
looking at some of the clips i have seen on youtube its looks good

Yes but you need to scripted the network code and allsorts it is allot of work but i am sure if you ask ronnie who i know will post here i think he might help you.

No, the game is an executable program. There may be a way to possibly do that, but I haven't the wildest idea. There are other programs that can do that, but they aren't as good as Sandbox :/ I'm 99.999999% sure you can't though.

i have downloaded the program and just playing around with it to see what i can do with it as i once made maps for a good old game called soldier of fortune 2 (SoF2)

i would like to be able to make a small game my 2 young kids could use online rather than them downloading from sites which they have in the past and ended up downloading all sorts of viruses

As for viruses, if you download from reputable sites you should generally be fine.

And if you have two computers, your kids can play the game with eachother without needing a server, you can play directly through IP

sadly they arent always at my house as sometimes the ex wife has to have them so a online game would be easier so they can connect where ever they are

plus i have a webserver sat there not doing alot so it may as well be used for something

Aww, sorry to hear that. But yeah, atleast your server won't just be taking up space!
