Where do I start
I was wondering, before I get too far into a design and realize Im in the wrong mode. Where do I actually start, does it really matter which mode I build my game in? Also does anyone have any good tutorials for learning to make changes and add features to a game, most of the cubescript tutorials I am finding dont seem to be written from a beginners perspective, they jump straight to tech talk.

Really, which mode you use depends on what type of game you're making.
FPS is probably best to start with, but RPG is good for many game types too
