send and receive textures feature, does it make sense?

hi all,

setting up a master server was discussed in an earlier post. here my question which is a bit related to it.
does it make sense to receive textures from server with the getmap command, if they are not found on the client computer.
how should we handle it:

*only allow download from server
*sending a texture request broadcast to all clients
*allow uploading textures to server from privileged clients (admin)
*should this behavoir be standart or special an server option

comments and ideas are welcome.

in generally i think it would be cool to share game content ingame (map, textures, models).

I think a temporary .cfg should be made to meet the needs of the server, Like if the server doesn't allow editing gravity, speed, jumpvelocity etc. those commands should be disabled and the server has the .cfg to set it to what it needs to be. Also for the skyboxes and stuff.
