Custom Textures: Requests & Packs

Custom Pack 1 has been released, and the next release will come very soon. They are free to use under a CC BY NC SA (if I'm wrong with this Mike, please tell me). Creative Commons BY NC SA

Check out the readme for help on setup.
I will take requests, just give me the basics: type, color, size, detail, bumpmap, etc. I most likely won't be making Sci-Fi textures for a while as Sandbox has a load of the at the moment. But I may if I feel up to it.

-- First Custom Pack Contents include:
dirt textures (1-5)
Sci-Fi tile textures (blue, red, green, yellow, white)
checkerboard texture
blackcord texture
prototype dirt texture
sand texture
straight wood texture

Thanks owen! I really recommend MapZone2 as it has an easy interface and the commands are very simple.

What about a roof texture and a stone wall (modern, not old, of which there are enough)

Funny you should mention that as I'm working on some cobblestone textures that could easily be used as stone walls. Stone wall textures are hopefully going to be included in the next pack though so stay tuned!

And you're right, Sandbox needs some good roof textures

I'll start trying some stuff out!

Awesome textures!
You should try metal textures, or maybe a brick wall one

I've made a lot of textures with mapzone, I'm gonna upload my own texture pack

Metal textures require a bit more effort and time to create REALLY good textures. So I'll definitely test out a few I've had in my head, but I'll be working on the more organic/RPG/natural textures as Sandbox is sorely lacking in that area.

So yeah, a brick wall I'm definitely going to do

Like I said in the first post, if there's anything you want custom made, I'm more than willing to do it for you

could you make a 3d grass using the really vibrant green grass (#12 on row 1, tab 1)? I like the 3d of the other grass, but it's really too dark for my tastes...

Otherwise, these are some really cool and great textures. If mike (or someone) doesn't put them in the new release (when there is one), I'm gonna send the DDDDC (dirty deeds done dirt cheap) company after him.

Do you mean animated like what you can toggle on and off? I couldn't do that...

But if you mean embossed, then I'll look into it
