Does anybody have any suggestions to make walls which are clear, see-through, glass or invisible?
I can make an invisible entity but how would I make a wall texture clear or make the entire wall invisible?

trying
/valpha ##
no response from sandbox. Do I need to enter /valpha ## before or after I build a wall, during?
Thanks chocolatepie33

When you've selected your wall (or whatever you want selected), you enter what CP wrote. You DON'T use ###. Those are symbols that represent numbers, therefore, you replace them with whatever number you want.

I forgot to mention that you can use the alpha material, which is selectable from the F3 menu. As for /valpha, you can use it after building the wall and applying a texture to it.

Re: Invisible or Glass walls
You can just select an area (make sure there is no geometry in the selected area) and then type /glass 1
If you don't want that glass anymore, select it, and type /glass 0 and it's gone
